What a wonderful restaurant. Second time coming here. We had Forrest as our waiter. He knew the menu front to back. Made excellent recommendations. The shrimp cocktail was incredible along with the mussels special of the night. I had a the halibut day boat special which was recommended. So awesome and my husband had the strip steak which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Another major plus is it's BYOB.
They also serve a complimentary mini appetizer - little tomato soup with a piece of bruschetta. What a nice thing to do and it really goes a long way.
Can't wait to go back in August

Not the same experience. Water never refilled, never got the amuse bouche other tables got. Asked for sauce on the side but was not done. The mussels are usually top notch but today tasted and looked like they were cooked on brown water. -

We dined at Daniel's on a Saturday as a table of six to celebrate some birthdays. I had made sure to make a reservation and we were seated right away. Parking is definitely an issue during peak season so be prepared.
I will start with the food- excellent!
We began with an amuse-bouche of creamy tomato soup and a mini crostini.
Appetizers:- all delicious
AHI TUNA TOWER -Sushi grade tuna, avocado, sweet red pepper, tomato, wasabi, pickled ginger, soy
HOMEMADE GNOCCHI -Applewood smoked bacon, wild mushrooms, cream, truffle butter
JUMBO LUMP CRABCAKE -Colossal crabmeat, pan-seared, garlic spinach, spicy lemon aioli, grilled heirloom tomato
BRAISED ESCARGOT - Roast garlic, white wine, butter, fresh herbs
A side of risotto with lump crab- very good!
Entrees:
BLACK ANGUS FILET MIGNON -Seared, Au Poivre sauce, chanterelle mushrooms
FILET OF BARRAMUNDI - Pan-seared, extra virgin olive oil, white wine, black truffle butter, Gulf shrimp
DIVER SEA SCALLOPS - Pan-seared, champagne sauce, colossal lump crabmeat risotto
Nothing left on anyone's plate.
Desserts: nicely prepared and very good
TABLESIDE BANANAS FOSTER-Banana, rum, brown sugar, vanilla ice cream
ASSORTED BERRIES ZABAGLIONE -Prepared tableside
TWIN MINI CANNOLIS- Homemade filling, crispy shell, Vanilla ice cream
Service-Hospitality:
Our waitress Kelly was spot on with her knowledge of the menu and service in general. She was gracious throughout the evening.
Unfortunately, the owner/hostess did display some abruptness, rudeness, and lack of sensitivity. This kind of approach can drive patrons away. Hospitality is a key element of any fine dining experience and should be practiced by all-especially an owner.
I will end by saying that Daniel's Bistro does have amazing food. -

What a wonderful restaurant! Service was top shelf, followed by well thought out meals.
We started with mussels with carrizo and garlic slices in a delightful sauce and a cesare salad. The chef provided a nice mini soup - rich savory tomato and a crostini. We went with the specials, a stuffed pork ckop w/ mushroom sauce and an amazing black sea bass with a shrimp and lump crab in a well paired wine/cream sauce. Excellent presentation!
Desert was not needed but made a great dinner perfect. It's BYOB, they had wine glasses already on the tables. Can't wait to go back.
Park in the first or second spacious lot, the street is metered 24/7....20 mim / dollar! ( the town is greedy - its October!) -

Emphatically one of the best BYOs on the Jersey Shore. 4 1/2 stars actually. It's one of those small, stylish bistros that has a menu in which you want to order everything!
Wonderful food, expertly prepared. Outstanding stuffed pork chop and white bass....and for me the real knockout was the braised escargots: the sauce was obscenely delicious. You have to order!
Ambiance is cozy, tables are set very elegantly and service is generally on par. Why not 5 stars? It was a bit loud, as there was a large gathering; a party group of 15-20 people next to us and although everyone was very nice it detracted from the intimate and cozy but elegant experience this place can should have provided and we had anticipated. -

This restaurant is a favorite of ours. You can't go wrong with the steak. It's a small place but has a large menu and nice seating.
